Adi Mager
International expert, consultant, lecturer and entrepreneur in the field of construction waste management and innovative raw materials.
For more than two decades, I have worked at the intersection of academic research and practical implementation. My academic path began at Tel Aviv University, where I earned a dual bachelor’s degree in Geography and Sociology, followed by a master’s degree with distinction in Environment and Society studies. I am currently a PhD candidate at the Porter School of the Environment at Tel Aviv University, with an expected completion date of April 2026. My research focuses on the application of remote sensing technologies and artificial intelligence to construction and demolition waste management.
Over the years, I have worked in Israel and internationally as a strategic consultant, lecturer, and entrepreneur. I initiated Israel’s first course on construction waste management, developed in collaboration with the Standards Institution of Israel and the Ministry of Environmental Protection. I also delivered a pioneering course in Panama, an initiative that received extensive media coverage across Latin America. I founded the Israeli Raw Material Innovation Forum for the construction and infrastructure sectors (IRMI) and authored a professional book addressing innovation in raw materials and construction products in Israel. I have advised government ministries, local authorities, industrial actors, and entrepreneurs on the implementation of circular economy principles in the construction and infrastructure sectors.
In recent years, I have combined academic teaching in Israel and abroad. I currently lecture at Tel Aviv University in the course “Introduction to Environmental Engineering” and have taught specialized courses at universities in the United States. I have trained thousands of professionals in sustainability, resource management, and waste recycling. In parallel, I have completed international training programs in circular economy, life cycle assessment (LCA), critical raw materials, green regulation and standards, and corporate governance in the energy and infrastructure sectors.
Today, I integrate research, teaching, and strategic consulting for public and private organizations, including the Ministry of Defense and the National Planning Administration. In parallel, I serve as a policy fellow at the Mitvim Institute and lead an initiative for environmental rehabilitation with diplomatic dimensions in Gaza, based on the understanding of the environment as an enabling infrastructure for regional cooperation.
My Vision
I connect research, innovation, and practical implementation with responsibility toward future generations.
My work focuses on the circular economy in the construction sector, advanced technologies for resource mapping and reuse, and local and cross-border partnerships that generate economic, environmental, and social value.
